Laminated fiberglass is used on the top and bottom of the wood core of a Capita snowboard to protect it from water damage and is also an important component for controlling the strength and flexibility of the boards. When applying the resin they use a mechanized dosing system that dispenses a calculated amount of resin per board to ensure the correct resin-to-fiberglass ratio is achieved.
