Snowboard boot insoles
Custom snowboard insoles
We all know that snowboarding is awesome. However, there is a large group of people who suffer from cold and sore feet every day while snowboarding. Winter sports take a toll on your body, and it doesn't take long before you experience burning feet, cramps, or cold toes. Good insoles support the arch of the foot and reduce pressure on your heel, which helps in distributing pressure more evenly across the foot.
Prevent fatigue and nerve-compressing issues
While snowboarding, your foot does not roll off properly. The pressure alternates mainly between the heel and the forefoot. This is a movement we do not typically make in daily life, and it can lead to nerve-compressing issues, resulting in tingling feet. Additionally, it reduces blood circulation, which can lead to cold feet.
Prevent pressure points caused by overpronation with snowboard insoles
In addition to preventing pinched nerves, snowboard insoles also prevent overpronation of the foot. When you bend your knees, your feet often tilt inward. Furthermore, a large group of people (some to varying degrees) have flat feet. These feet will sink further while snowboarding, causing pressure points to develop on the inside of the foot as they press against the inside of the boot. You may also experience pain in your little toe due to slight rotation of the foot. Good snowboard insoles support the foot to help counteract overpronation.
The right support for the arch of a high instep
If you have a high instep, you will notice that you also have a lot of space under the foot. Due to the pressure that builds up during snowboarding, the foot can collapse. This makes the foot slightly longer and slightly wider. To prevent the foot from collapsing, the arch must be filled. Most standard insoles found in snowboard boots do not provide supportive functions. Why? Quite simple. Every foot is different and requires a different insole. Someone with a collapsed foot (flat foot) cannot stand on an insole with a high arch. Conversely, someone with a high instep (large space under the foot) gains no support from a flat snowboard insole.
Sidas snowboard insoles for skiing or snowboarding
There are many different brands of insoles for a snowboard on the market. The market leader in this area is Sidas. A good insole is, for example, the winter version of 3Feet by Sidas. The insoles are available in 3 variants: Low, Medium, and High. Additionally, this winter version features aluminum insulation under the forefoot for extra insulation.
