The snowboards on The Boardscompany are 3D-pressed with a subtle lift (max. 1.5 mm) of the base and the edges at the ends. This causes the contact points to sit just slightly off the snow. Thanks to Edge Lift Technology you are less likely to catch an edge while riding. This makes it easier to initiate turns with a more natural start and exit of your turns. As a result you ride smoother, enjoy learning new Tricks more, and also benefit from extra float in powder.
Multi-Grip technology means additional contact points on the heel and toe sides for extra grip in icy conditions. Think of it as snow chains for your car. The Multi-Grip technology consists of extremely subtle ridges of just under 1 mm on the edges beneath your bindings. These are virtually invisible to the naked eye and barely noticeable in soft snow, but they do provide a smoother ride with significantly more grip on hard, icy snow. As a result, you ride more stably and with greater confidence, even when the piste becomes more challenging and slippery.
De THE Delta is een echte “rally rider” binnen de collectie: een all-mountain snowboard dat gemaakt is om elke berg aan te kunnen, van geprepareerde pistes tot slush en verse poeder. Het board heeft een iets bredere shape en een directionele opbouw, waardoor het super stabiel aanvoelt en tegelijkertijd makkelijk door bochten draait.
Wat dit board voor mij echt bijzonder maakt, is hoe veelzijdig het rijdt. Ik kan er relaxed mee cruisen op de piste, maar zodra ik ga carven voelt het krachtig en precies. De edge control is sterk, waardoor ik met vertrouwen hard door bochten kan trekken zonder dat het onrustig wordt. Tegelijkertijd blijft het speels genoeg om ook in zachtere sneeuw of slush gewoon te spelen en te sturen zoals ik wil.
Onder de kap zit techniek die je echt voelt tijdens het rijden. De Triax fiberglass-constructie geeft het board extra energie en zorgt voor maximale krachtoverdracht naar de kanten, waardoor elke bocht direct en krachtig aanvoelt. Daarnaast zorgt Biax fiberglass juist voor die fijne mix van stabiliteit en vergevingsgezindheid, waardoor het board soepel blijft draaien en niet te hard straft als je een foutje maakt.
De base is snel, licht en houdt wax uitstekend vast dankzij de poreuze structuur, waardoor ik merk dat ik echt snelheid kan vasthouden op lange runs. Carbon en grafiet zorgen daarbij voor extra glijvermogen, wat vooral op vlakke stukken en snelle afdalingen een groot verschil maakt.
