The Nivia 3D Finder is a modern avalanche transceiver for Freeride enthusiasts, splitboarders and ski tourers who want to search faster, more clearly and more intuitively in an emergency. In the mountains every second counts. That’s why the 3D Finder was developed with innovative GPS-assisted 3D technology, which Nivia says can save up to 30% time during a search, regardless of which avalanche-transceiver signal is being tracked.
What makes this transceiver special is its direct and clear operation. After pressing the safety button you can easily switch between OFF, SEND and SEARCH with a distinct selector. In addition, the 3D Finder has a single red button for important functions such as marking, group check and configuration. That makes the device pleasant to use, especially when tension is high and you don’t want to lose time on complicated menus.
The Nivia 3D Finder is a digital device with three antennas and operates on the international standard frequency of 457 kHz. The range is specified as X 50 meters, Y 50 meters and Z 40 meters, with a maximum search strip width of 70 meters according to ICAR AVA REC 0007. In plain language, this means the device is designed to pick up a signal quickly and guide you accurately toward the victim.
The display is also a major advantage. The large, high-contrast screen remains easy to read in different light conditions, for example in bright sunlight, snow or poor visibility. The clear menu navigation helps you keep an overview and make the right choices quickly.
The built-in lithium-ion battery has a runtime of up to 300 hours and is charged via USB-C. Conveniently, the USB port can also be used in emergencies to top up your phone so you can make an emergency call through the app. The 3D Finder itself is always given priority, so the device retains sufficient power.
The housing is made of strong 2K technopolymers and the device weighs 225 grams. Thanks to the flexible carrying system you can wear the Nivia 3D Finder in different ways and remove it with one hand.
