The Altai is built around an asymmetrical upper that integrates seamlessly with Nidecker and Flow binding straps, eliminating pressure points and ensuring a perfect fit. The Dual Dial BOA® Fit System features textile-coated laces and dual dials, allowing independent adjustment of the upper and lower areas of the boot for ultimate control and comfort.
Underfoot, our lightweight B.F.T Gravity 2.0 outsole provides impressive cushioning and traction, with a rubber toe for extra grip when hiking over ice and rocks. We optimized the connection between the outsole and the shell using a molded section called the Transition Zone, removing the typical hard edge so it won't snag in the heelcup of your binding.
Inside the Altai you'll find a new heat-moldable Silver liner that lets you customize the fit while also being comfortable right out of the box. The Altai has a medium stiffness and offers sufficient lateral support, making it ideal for carving deep tracks on piste or precisely drifting through the trees. An extra layer of high-density EVA supports the deep heel cup and the anatomical arch, while softer EVA provides more flexibility at the forefoot. A silicone top-print gives traction to the fleece-lined footbed
This liner has been completely redesigned and has no pressure points; closure is via the cuff attached to the inside of the shell. This also makes the liner easy to put on and take off.
