The Altai is built around an asymmetrical upper that seamlessly accommodates Nidecker and Flow binding straps, eliminating pressure points and ensuring a perfect fit. The Dual Dial BOA® Fit System comes equipped with textile-coated laces and dual dials, allowing you to adjust the top and bottom of the boot separately for ultimate control and comfort.
Underneath the boot, our lightweight B.F.T Gravity 2.0 outsole provides impressive cushioning and traction, with a rubber toe for extra grip when walking on ice and rocks. We have optimized the connection between the outsole and the boot using a molded section we call the Transition Zone, eliminating the usual hard edge to prevent it from getting caught in the heel cup of your binding.
Inside the Altai is a new heat-moldable Silver liner, allowing you to customize the fit as you wish, but also fitting comfortably right out of the box. The Altai is a boot with medium stiffness, providing adequate lateral support, making it ideal for digging deep tracks on the piste or floating with precision through the trees. The Coiler automatically takes up the slack in the laces, increases the speed of stepping into the boot, and provides a precise fit that allows for micro-adjustments.
An extra layer of high-density EVA supports the deep heel cup and the anatomical arch, while more comfortable EVA offers flexibility to the forefoot. A silicone top print provides traction to the fleece-lined footbed.
This liner has been completely redesigned and has no pressure points; the closure occurs via the cuff that is attached to the inside of the shell. This makes the liner easy to put on and take off.
