Discover the Burton Step On Cartel X bindings
The Burton Step On® Cartel X EST iris bloom, in my opinion, is the binding for snowboarders who want to combine performance and convenience at the highest level. This binding is powerful, responsive and designed for riders who take their snowboard everywhere, from steep freeride lines to carving sessions on the piste.
The biggest advantage remains the Step On® technology. You can step in within seconds without fastening straps. Especially on cold days or in deep powder this is a huge game changer. You simply click your boots in and you're ready to go. What makes the Cartel X EST truly special is that this convenience does not come at the expense of performance.
The EST baseplate is an important part of this model. Because there are no screws under your feet, your snowboard can flex naturally and you feel every movement much more directly. This gives a surfy feeling, but with the power and response you'd expect from a binding like the Cartel X. For riders who love speed, hard turns and challenging terrain, this is a difference you notice immediately.
In terms of stiffness the Cartel X EST is higher than the Genesis. That means more power in your turns and a more direct response when you need to switch quickly. Yet comfort is retained, partly thanks to the Kickback Hammock in the highback that supports your heel while damping vibrations. The result is a binding that gives you stability without feeling constricted.
The Cartel X EST is clearly designed with all-mountain and Freeride in mind. Whether you're carving high-speed turns, hitting a line in the backcountry or simply cruising the piste, this binding always delivers. That makes it versatile, but above all loved by snowboarders who don't want to compromise on performance.
Important to know: the EST version only works with Burton snowboards equipped with The Channel. If you have that, you'll get the most out of this binding. If you have another type of board, you should look at the Re:Flex version of the Cartel X.
All in all, the Burton Step On® Cartel X EST iris bloom is a binding that combines power, convenience and precision. For me, this is the choice for riders who take their snowboard days seriously and want to get the most out of their setup.
