Everything about Burton Family Tree Alekesam
The Family Tree Alekesam is built for freeriders seeking stability, float, and creativity. With a directional shape and camber, this board delivers power and playfulness at the same time.

The directional shape helps you glide effortlessly through deep snow.

The camber profile provides grip and explosive response on any terrain.
Meet the Burton Family Tree Alekesam Hero
The Burton Family Tree Alekesam is a snowboard that immediately leaves its mark on your riding style. It is part of the Family Tree series, in which Burton develops boards that are fully focused on freeride and creative lines. For me, the Alekesam feels like a board that combines freedom and control, allowing you to find your own Flow on the mountain.
The board is designed with a directional shape, which means that the nose is longer than the tail. This gives you extra float in powder and makes riding feel much more natural and surf-oriented. In deep snow, you immediately notice how smoothly and lightly the board rolls through every turn, without having to constantly work to stay on top of the snow.
Additionally, the camber profile provides a solid base of grip and power. This gives you a lot of confidence on steep descents and hard pistes. Every carve feels tight and controlled, while you still maintain enough pop to play creatively with terrain features. For me, this is an ideal combination: the confidence of camber with the freedom of a surfy shape.
The Burton Family Tree Alekesam is not just a board for deep days, but also a all-mountain partner that you can take anywhere. From forests and bowls to groomers and side-hits, this board remains surprisingly versatile. It is a plank that invites you to ride actively and rewards you with stability and precision.
In terms of target audience, the Alekesam is primarily aimed at advanced snowboarders. Beginners will struggle with the power and responsiveness that this board demands. However, for those who know their lines and confidently tackle the mountain, this is a snowboard that elevates the experience to a higher level.
What I personally love most about the Alekesam is that it forces you to ride creatively. The board does not feel like a standard freeride plank, but like a snowboard that gives every run a new dimension. It doesn't matter whether you're surfing through deep powder or carve’ing over hard pistes, this board always brings a smile to your face.
In short, the Burton Family Tree Alekesam is a snowboard that brings together freedom, creativity, and performance. For me, it is an absolute recommendation for freeriders and all-mountain riders looking for a unique board that can do it all.

Technical Specifications
Burton snowboards stand for innovation, quality, and performance, designed to meet the needs of both beginners and professional riders. They combine timeless design with modern technologies to create versatile, reliable boards that provide optimal control and riding pleasure on any terrain.

The "Super Fly II" core is designed for an optimal balance between weight, strength, and performance. The "700G" indicates the weight of the core in grams, which shows that this core is relatively light. A lighter core can help reduce the weight of the snowboard, which is beneficial for maneuverability and playfulness.
All Burton snowboards from 2014 and newer with The Channel mounting system (such as the snowboard you are viewing here) are covered by a three-year warranty from the date of purchase.
Burton Women's Specific Triax™ with Carbon I-Beam™ is a special fiberglass construction for Burton snowboards for women, with carbon fibers for increased stiffness and responsiveness. This enhances the performance and stability of the snowboards for female riders.
Directional Camber Bend has camber under both feet for stability during deep turns and in changing conditions, and a rockered nose that provides extra lift for better floatation.
A directional shape provides improved performance and stability when riding in one direction, especially in freeriding and on powder snow.
