The Amplif MKX Top features a radically new design based on 3D body scanning and sport-specific musculoskeletal analysis. The ergonomic cut, flat seams, sweat-wicking Miharo 6+, zipper placement, and advanced back protector ensure a perfect fit and total freedom of movement under all conditions.
The unique design and HexFlex construction of the MKX protectors make this our lightest, most protective, and breathable silicone protector ever. We shift the concept of protection from an "exoskeleton" to a more form-fitting "base layer" or "second skin" concept, which is a true "Put it on and forget it" product. Movement is absolutely unrestricted when wearing - and will truly enable progressive sports enthusiasts to test their limits and elevate their riding to a higher level. At Amplifi, we were dissatisfied with "off-the-shelf" solutions for back protectors - even so-called "soft protectors" cannot bend in 360 degrees, are bulky, and do not provide the highest breathability. We wanted to create a product that feels like a "second skin" base layer but provides the safety expected from a top protector.
The specific properties of the silicone-based compound provide a "liquid" feeling when the protector is worn, developing the tessellating hexagonal design with our material engineers, reducing weight AND allowing free air and moisture flow through the protector - and just 10 mm thick for back protectors and 6 mm for limb protectors!
Zero-Waste production We know that we are not perfect, nobody is. However, every little bit counts, and with this in mind, we are proud to share the story of Armourgel and its Zero Waste production process. Every scrap piece, every spare millimeter of material that would otherwise be thrown away - is carefully collected and reused into brand new products! Zero Waste production is the future, and we are glad it started here.
