Union Strata bindings offer a perfect balance between surfy freestyle and versatile all-mountain performance. The bindings from the 2025 collection target riders who want to be creative in the park as well as carve steadily on the piste. With an overall flex rating of 5/10 the Strata is mid-flex and responsive without becoming too stiff, making it suitable for both beginners and advanced riders.
Flex and design
The Stage 6 Duraflex ST baseplate is the heart of the Strata and delivers a consistent mid-flex response that is ideal for turns, jumps and butter moves. The Strata Duraflex ST highback is optimized for a natural forward lean and provides subtle support in every turn. The thoughtful design creates a direct board feel while the binding still retains enough play for freestyle Tricks.
Materials and technology
The OTE Fused Vaporlite bushing damps unwanted vibrations and increases comfort during long days on the mountain. The extruded 3D aluminium heelcup provides a secure heel hold and comes with a lifetime warranty. The innovative split FLAD (Forward Lean Adjuster) allows quick, tool-less adjustments to the lean angle, even with thick gloves on. Furthermore, Union has chosen durable Duraflex ST plastics that withstand impacts and temperature changes.
Fit and comfort
The Forma Lab ankle strap combines a lightweight exoframe with a cushioned interior, distributing pressure evenly across the foot. The new TS 2.1 hexgrip toe strap wraps the forefoot snugly without pressure points, and fits virtually all snowboard boots. Thanks to the magnesium S1 ratchet system straps close smoothly and quickly, while the tool-less strap-adjustment allows users to optimize the fit at any time.
Compatibility and installation
The Union Strata ships with a mini disk and is compatible with 2x4, 4x4 and Channel mounting systems. That means you can mount the binding on most modern snowboards. Users have the freedom to easily adjust their Stance width and angle so every ride feels exactly as desired.
Durability and warranty
Union is known for its high quality standards and offers a lifetime warranty on the Strata binding's baseplate and highback. All other components carry a two-year warranty period. By using top materials and robust construction techniques these bindings are built to last season after season.
