Rome Stale Fish – Your ultimate powder and all-mountain board
The Rome Stale Fish is Ståle Sandbech's favorite board for days filled with deep snow and powerful lines. This directional freeride board combines effortless float with high performance, allowing you to ride confidently both in the backcountry and on the slopes.
The Free-The-Ride camber with rocker in the nose and camber from the bindings to the tail provides the perfect balance between grip and float. The flat section in the middle makes initiating turns smooth, while the camber in the tail gives you explosive pop and powerful exits from every carve.
Thanks to the Directional Diamond 3D shape in the nose, you float effortlessly through powder and make smooth, catch-free turns. With a 15 mm taper and a setback Stance, you get natural lift and maneuverability, ideal for deep days and varied terrain.
For direct response and liveliness, the Stale Fish is equipped with Carbon HotRods and a Directional Single Carbon Hotrod, which add power and pop without extra weight. The Pop Core – a mix of poplar and paulownia wood – provides a light yet durable foundation that lasts for years. Directional Flax Walls dampen vibrations and increase stability, while the SinterStrong base ensures impressive speed and durability, even with intensive use.
With a stiff flex level of 7/10, the Stale Fish feels powerful and precise, ideal for aggressive carves, high speeds, and technical lines in challenging conditions.
This board is not only a beast in the powder but also surprisingly versatile. On groomed slopes, it delivers solid grip and responsiveness, while it continues to surprise in playful side hits and natural features. Whether you want to surf powder, carve fast lines, or land technical drops, the Stale Fish guarantees a powerful and stylish ride.
The Rome Stale Fish is built for advanced snowboarders who want one board that can handle any challenge. Step on, hit the gas, and experience the perfect mix of control, float, and speed.
