The Ryme is a wonderfully stiffer park board. The board remains very stable at higher speeds and also when riding larger kickers. If you mainly ride in smaller parks, no problem. The Ryme is great for jibbing, jumping, and freestyle riding behavior in general. Its C3 camber provides a lot of control, pop, and stability. The core mainly consists of aspen, which is a stiffer type of wood; to make it a bit lighter, they have incorporated 2 strips of paulownia wood. The Magne-traction ensures that you stay upright on ice, which gives a more secure feeling.
Type: Freestyle / All-Mountain
Flex: 5 (out of 10)
Profile: C3
The favorite profile of Jamie Lynn and Fredi Kalbermatten. So you already know that C3 stands for ultimate precision with a very minimal rocker. Powerful camber at the tip and tail, which makes the rocker profile even less noticeable. This profile provides ultimate edge hold, powerful pop, precision, and strength for your carves and lines. The perfect profile for aggressive snowboarding.
Shape: true twin
A true twin is perfectly symmetrical, so it doesn't matter whether you go down with your left foot or right foot forward; the board feels the same. In a true twin, both the shape of the board and the core are the same. True Twin is perfect for people who ride a lot switch or do tricks where you rotate with your board, as the board feel remains consistent during landings.
Core: 75% aspen / 25% paulownia
This core from Lib Tech consists of more than half aspen, which is a somewhat heavier type of wood; to make the snowboard lighter, there are 2 strips of paulownia wood in the core.
Glass: tri-ax / bi-ax fiber
Top: eco sublimated poly top
Base: eco sublimated TNT
The TNT base from Lib Tech is, according to them, the best base there is. Not because it glides the best, but because it retains the maintenance ease of a extruded base while gliding much better than a extruded base and is heading towards sintered bases. The base consists of double-lubricated fluoro material. Eco sublimated is a very technical term but simply means that this base is made ecologically friendly.
Sidewalls: UHWM sintered / birch internal
UHWM is one of the strongest thermoplastic plastics available right now. This ensures that you don't have to repair your board every time you hit a box, rail, or skis. On the inside of your sidewalls, there is a thin layer of birch; this type of wood is very strong and flexible, which helps your sidewall better distribute and absorb the force of an impact.
Edge: magne-traction
If you've ever ridden on ice, you know how quickly you can lose control. Magne-traction cuts through ice and hard snow with 7 wavy bumps. Simply put, your edge bites into the ice instead of cutting, just like a serrated knife does in bread. But on normal snow on the slope, it provides control and hold, giving you the confidence to maintain speed. You will especially feel this in turns where you apply force or during carving.
