The No. 43 is the perfect snowboard for power freestylers who use the entire slope as their fun park. The Horsepower construction and the C2x profile give you pop and responsiveness, all together in a twin shape makes this board feel like it has superpowers. The Magne-traction gives you extra grip on ice and thus more confidence.
Type: Freestyle / All-Mountain
Flex: 5 (out of 10)
Profile: C2X
To give the all-terrain boards a perfectly balanced profile, Lib Tech developed the C2 together with Travis Rice. A mild rocker between your feet with a powerful camber at the tip and tail. Enough pop for the park, precision for the best lines, and float to go wild in the powder. The C2e variation makes the profile a bit more playful, and the C2x ensures even more precision.
Shape: true twin
A true twin is perfectly symmetrical, so it doesn't matter whether you go down left foot forward or right foot forward, the board feels the same. In a true twin, both the shape of the board and the core are the same. True Twin is perfect for people who ride a lot switch or do tricks where you rotate with your board, as the board feel is always the same during landings. Due to the asymmetrical form, the heel and toe turns have a different turning radius. This makes riding on your heels a bit easier and riding on your toes even more enjoyable.
Core: 60% aspen / 40% paulownia
This core from Lib Tech consists of more than half aspen, which is a somewhat heavier type of wood. To make the snowboard lighter, there are 2 large strips of paulownia wood in the core.
Glass: tri-ax / bi-ax fiber with basalt
Top: eco sublimated bio beans top
Base:
Sintered Knife Cut
A sintered base gives you the best glide ability. Having to take off your bindings or walk on a path will happen much less because this base just wants to keep going. The base consists of small plastic pellets that are pressed together, leaving air pockets where wax can settle. You do need to wax a sintered base more often because of this, but if you do it right, you'll notice the difference! Especially in warmer conditions, you'll keep gliding, while a extruded base creates a vacuum that slows it down.
Sidewalls: UHWM sintered / birch internal
UHWM is one of the strongest thermoplastic plastics available right now. This ensures that you don't have to repair your board every time you hit a box, rail, or skis. On the inside of your sidewalls, there is a thin layer of birch; this type of wood is very strong and flexible, which helps your sidewall better distribute and absorb the force of an impact.
Edge: magne-traction
If you've ever ridden on ice, you know how quickly you can lose control. Magne-traction cuts through ice and hard snow with 7 wavy bumps. Simply put, your edge bites into the ice instead of cutting through it, just like a serrated knife does with bread. But on normal snow on the slope, it provides control and hold, giving you the confidence to maintain speed. You'll especially feel this in turns where you apply force or during carving.
