The Lib Tech Glider is a friendly board to ride. Due to the rocker between the bindings and small camber under the bindings, the board turns very easily and will not punish small mistakes. This board is ideal for beginners to learn snowboarding or for an advanced freestyler looking for a forgiving board.
With the magne-traction, grip on hard snow is guaranteed.
Type: Freestyle / All-Mountain
Flex: 5 (out of 10)
Profile: BTX
Years ago, the experimental department of Lib Tech started the snowboard profile revolution by introducing the now legendary Skate Banana model with Original Banana Technology.
A mild rocker between your feet combined with mild cambers at the tip and tail. The easiest profile for beginners to make a lot of progress and fun. Learn new tricks every day, enjoy jibbing, and keep floating in the powder with this banana.
Shape: true twin
A true twin is perfectly symmetrical, so it doesn't matter if you're riding regular or goofy; the board feels the same. In a true twin, both the shape of the board and the core are the same. True Twin is perfect for people who ride switch a lot or do tricks where you rotate your board, as the board feel during landings is always the same. Due to the asymmetric form, the heel and toe turns have a different turn radius. This makes riding on your heels a bit easier and riding on your toes even more enjoyable.
Core: 75% aspen / 25% paulownia
This core from Lib Tech consists of more than half aspen, which is a heavier type of wood. To make the snowboard lighter, there are 2 strips of paulownia wood in the core.
Glass: tri-ax / bi-ax fiber
Top: eco sublimated poly top
Base: eco sublimated TNT
The TNT base from Lib Tech is according to them the best base there is. Not because it glides the best, but because it maintains the ease of maintenance of a extruded base while gliding much better than a extruded base and is more aligned with sintered bases. The base consists of double-layered fluorinated material. Eco sublimated is a very technical term but simply means that this base is made ecologically friendly.
Sidewalls: UHWM sintered / birch internal
UHWM is one of the strongest thermoplastic plastics at the moment. This ensures that you don't have to repair your board every time you hit a box, rail, or skis. On the inside of your sidewalls, there is a thin layer of birch; this type of wood is very strong and flexible, allowing your sidewalls to better distribute and absorb the force of an impact.
Edge: magne-traction
If you have ever ridden on ice, you know how quickly you can lose control. Magne-traction cuts through ice and hard snow with 7 wavy bumps. Simply put, your edge grabs into the ice instead of slicing, just like a serrated knife does in bread. But in normal snow on the slope, it provides control and hold, giving you the confidence to maintain speed. You will especially feel this during turns where you apply force or while carving.
