The ride and response of the Equalizer have been improved for 2024 with the brand-new META Core™, which provides a pleasant flex on all-mountain terrain, while the Technora™ Flax Boosters are retained in the construction for longitudinal strength.
Meet the Capita Equalizer
The Capita Equalizer is a tribute to Jess Kimura’s progression, who developed her skills from the streets to backcountry terrain. This snowboard was developed to level the playing field on the mountain and offers other female riders a high-quality all-mountain option.
For 2023 the series received an entirely redesigned hybrid camber profile. This profile combines positive camber along the length of the board for optimal control while carving, with reverse camber in the nose and tail for maximum float in powder.
What makes the Equalizer even more special for the 2024 season is the introduction of the META Core™. This all-new core provides a desirable flex that is perfectly suited for all kinds of all-mountain terrain. Additionally, the Technora™ Flax Boosters are retained in the construction to provide longitudinal strength. With a Quantum Drive™ high-speed sintered base, the Equalizer ranks among the most technically advanced freeride boards for women seeking top performance.
Resort V2 camber profile
The Equalizer’s Resort V2 camber profile is a true gem. This revolutionary all-terrain design offers the best of both worlds. Technical Specifications
Capita snowboards are handmade in Austria using self-generated clean energy in The MotherShip™.
The QUANTUM DRIVE™ running base is composed of a progressive blend of compressed ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. As an evolution of the already lightning-fast ULTRADRIVE™, this running base has a higher density for durability and absorbs more wax to retain wax longer and ride faster. Well-maintained sintered bases are fast and durable and are preferred by many high-end enthusiasts around the world.
We took the extremely light P2 Superlight Core™, added Beech stringers that are highly bend- and shock-absorbing and run through the inserts for more stiffness and an even snappier pop.
TECHNORA™ is an aramid fiber with excellent tensile strength and resistance to material fatigue, which acts as a shock absorber and source of energy when integrated into the layup of a snowboard construction. We have woven TECHNORA™ with an extremely light and completely natural flax fiber to reinforce every construction combination for maximum turn and ollie power.
HOLYSHEET™ fiberglass configuration features fibers with high tensile strength and low elastic modulus. By using a higher number of fibers in the same weight of glass, you can make a stronger and more responsive board without adding extra weight.
This revolutionary all-terrain shape offers the best of both worlds. It has a raised camber platform through the inserts to retain high-speed edge grip on variable terrain, raised contact points to land and float in the powder and Flat kick tip and tail arcs for faster, more aggressive transitions.
A directional shape provides improved performance and stability for one-directional riding, especially when freeriding and in powder.
