All about the Capita The Black Snowboard Of Death
The Black Snowboard Of Death offers ultimate all-mountain control, from deep powder to fast pistes, with a perfect balance between power and suppleness.

Advanced core with carbon reinforcement for maximum responsiveness

PLT Topsheet Technology™ for lightweight and premium finish
The Black Snowboard Of Death has been a mainstay in the high-end segment for years, and the 2026 edition shows why. From the first moment you notice this is not an ordinary snowboard. The core is ultra-light yet incredibly strong, reinforced with carbon to transmit every movement instantly. This gives explosive pop and a solid feel on every carve.
The directional camber profile makes it ideal for riders who value speed and precision. At high speed it feels stable and reliable, while the nose provides enough float for deep powder days. On hard snow the edge grip is phenomenal, allowing you to carve sharp turns with confidence.
What personally always appeals to me about this model is the finish. The PLT Topsheet Technology™ not only results in an extremely light construction, but also a clean, high-gloss look you don’t often see on a snowboard of this caliber. No unnecessary frills, just pure performance and style.
In the park it will feel a bit stiffer, which actually makes it strong in bigger kickers and technical lines. This is not a board for cruising casually, but for pushing limits and getting everything out of your run.
The Black Snowboard Of Death is for the experienced rider who knows what they want: control, power, and performance in every situation. For me this remains the symbol of high-performance snowboarding, and the 2026 version only confirms that.

Technical Specifications
Capita snowboards are handmade in Austria using self-generated clean energy in The MotherShip™.
Specially developed and exclusive to The MotherShip, our engineers have worked tirelessly with the world’s leading supplier of polyethylene base materials to create HYPERDRIVE™. With exceptional anti-friction properties thanks to the high molecular weight and specialized processing additives, this sintered material is lightning fast due to a unique composition. Our loyal fans go all out, and that’s why we’ve integrated the fastest and most aggressive base there is. In addition, we’ve increased the thickness of our XT bases for extra durability.
The Thermopolymer Hover Core™ is an innovative core specifically designed for optimal strength and minimal mass, keeping the board ultralight and extremely responsive. By applying advanced thermopolymer technology, this core provides unparalleled stability and agility, regardless of speed or terrain. Perfect for riders seeking maximum performance without extra weight, allowing them to effortlessly navigate the most challenging conditions.
With two Carbon Fleece Power Pads under the feet, maximum ollie power is achieved and the board provides stability across varied terrain. These pads not only add extra responsiveness but also offer torsional forgiveness, allowing riders to easily maintain control even in the most challenging conditions. This design enables snowboarders to confidently take on any challenge that comes their way.
The HOLYSHEET™ fiberglass configuration uses a special weave of fibers with high tensile strength and a low modulus of elasticity. By integrating a higher number of roving fibers within the same weight of glass, this design delivers a stronger and more responsive board without adding extra weight. This results in a snowboard that is not only durable but also provides optimal performance and control on every slope, allowing riders to elevate their skills.
The ALPINE V1 profile has a camber in the middle of the board, a flat tail and a nose with reverse camber. This design not only offers great pop and stability on hard surfaces, but also extra float and landing power, improving the rider's performance in deep snow. The camber extends further into the tail, providing extra power when climbing or for larger riders who choose a wider version.
A directional shape provides improved performance and stability when riding in one direction, especially for freeriding and in powder.
