This board feels at home everywhere: from thick lines in the backcountry to tight groomers at high speed. Thanks to the high-end materials, you not only get brutal response but also a smooth feel that keeps you riding with confidence. For riders who love next-level performance, this is truly a winner.

Description

The Capita Mega Mercury is a snowboard that truly belongs at the top of the all-mountain category for me. This is the kind of board that not only challenges you but also rewards you with brute speed and precision. Whether you want to tackle deep powder or blast down hard-packed slopes at full speed, this board can do it all. It feels immediately familiar, but has so much power under the hood that you really notice it’s built for riders who demand more.

What I personally find cool about the Mega Mercury is how versatile it feels. Thanks to the hybrid camber, you have that stable feeling under your feet, but as soon as you hit a kicker or sidehit, the board pops out with mega energy. Additionally, Capita has used a lot of high-end materials that are usually only found in the most exclusive boards. Think of carbon fiber layers, an ultra-light core, and a hyperdrive base that is ridiculously fast.

Durability is also something I am really excited about. Capita is known for their environmentally conscious approach, and you can see that reflected here with FSC-certified wood and production in their own “Mothership” factory. For the rider, this means not only top performance but also the assurance that your board is built responsibly.

The only downside I can think of is that this is not a board for beginners. It requires a rider who has control and can truly harness the power of the board. But if you have that experience, then you get a snowboard that you can literally use anywhere.

For me, the Capita Mega Mercury is the perfect choice for snowboarders who don’t want to be tied to one discipline. All mountain freeride, freestyle, powder or piste: this board does it all. A true powerhouse that elevates your season to the next level.

Capita snowboards are handcrafted in Austria using self-generated clean energy in The MotherShip™.

Base NEW! MEGADRIVE™ XT

With the goal of equipping our MEGA line with the most advanced and premium components, the brand new MEGADRIVE™ base is as fast as science can make it. This pure race base is made of UHMW polyethylene, modified with a high carbon content and special fluoro additives for lightning-fast sliding in various conditions. We have increased the thickness of our XT bases for improved durability.

Core 3D THERMOPOLYMER STARSHIP CORE™

By using an advanced electronic sorting system, we can select mega-premium, replanting certified Poplar, graded by weight and consistency of the wood. This core has a similar weight-to-strength ratio as Paulownia and retains the sparkle of Poplar. By adding design-bound recycled Thermopolymer channels, an advanced hybrid core is created.
