All about the Capita Mega Death
All about the Capita Mega Death
The Capita Mega Death is for snowboarders who want to push boundaries. Light, explosive and stable, designed to perform at the highest level everywhere.

Unique blend of carbon and high-tech fibers for maximum pop

PLT Topsheet Technology™ for a lightweight and luxurious finish
Capita Mega Death: The Ultimate Freeride Machine
The Capita Mega Death, to me, is one of the most impressive boards you can find in the high-performance segment. As soon as you step in, you notice this board is built to go fast. The combination of an ultralight core with carbon and advanced fiber structures gives it a direct and explosive response. Every edge contact feels solid, every carve cuts effortlessly through the snow.
The hybrid camber profile provides the best of both worlds: aggressive grip and stability at high speed, yet enough playfulness to ride fun lines. In powder the shape offers sufficient float, while on hardpack you can always trust your edge grip.
What I personally really like about the Mega Death is the finish. The PLT Topsheet Technology™ not only gives the board a super-clean high-gloss look, but also keeps it surprisingly light. No unnecessary frills, just pure performance in a premium package.
On the park you'll notice it feels a bit stiffer, but that's to be expected: this is not a mellow jib board, but a machine for serious lines and big jumps. For freeride and high-speed all-mountain riders this is an absolute top choice that will last for years.
The Mega Death is not for everyone, but if you have the skills to tame it, you'll get a board in return that pushes you to get the most out of your ride on any terrain. For me this is pure snowboard luxury in its most powerful form.

Technical Specifications
Capita snowboards are handmade in Austria with self-generated clean energy in The MotherShip™.
With the aim of equipping our MEGA line with the most advanced and premium components, the brand-new MEGADRIVE™ base is as fast as science can make it. This pure race base consists of UHMW polyethylene, modified with a high carbon content and special fluoro additives for lightning-fast gliding in diverse conditions. We have increased the thickness of our XT bases for improved durability.
By using an advanced electronic sorting system we can select mega-premium, replanting-certified Poplar, graded by weight and wood consistency. This core has a similar weight-to-strength ratio as Paulownia and retains the liveliness of Poplar. By adding design-bound recycled thermopolymer channels, an advanced hybrid core is created. This mega-premium core gives you explosive power that hurls you into space and beyond.
Carbon fiber is known for its stiffness, high tensile strength, low weight, high temperature resistance and low thermal expansion, and is one of the most popular materials for today’s high-performance applications. We increase power and responsiveness across a wide range of models by applying various carbon fiber adjustments in thickness, width, weight or weave structure, while ensuring our boards remain ultra-light.
Carbon Fiber is a highly sought-after material in high-performance applications due to its rigidity, high-tensile strength, lightweight nature, and exceptional temperature tolerance. By incorporating various adaptations of carbon fiber in thickness, width, and weave, we enhance the power and responsiveness of our boards while maintaining their ultralight characteristics. This ensures that our snowboards deliver superior performance across a wide range of conditions, making them ideal for both casual riders and advanced athletes alike.
The ALPINE V1 profile has a camber in the middle of the board, a flat tail and a nose with reverse camber. This design not only provides great pop and stability on hard surfaces, but also extra buoyancy and landing power, improving the rider's performance in deep snow. The camber continues further into the tail, which provides extra lift when climbing or for larger riders who choose a wider version.
A directional shape provides improved performance and stability when riding in one direction, especially for freeriding and in powder.
