Description

The Capita Defenders Of Awesome has by now become a legend within the snowboard world. This board has won awards for years and is seen by many riders as the ultimate mix between freestyle and all mountain. If you want just one board that you can ride everywhere, the D.O.A is always a safe choice.

What makes this board so special is the shape. Capita uses the Resort V1 profile, where camber under your feet provides pop and grip, while zero camber and rocker in the tip and tail provide forgiveness and easy turn initiation. This makes the board playful enough for freestyle, while at the same time retaining stability and precision for all mountain use.

In the park the D.O.A feels right at home. The pop is impressive, letting you attack jumps with confidence. Rails and boxes feel stable and predictable, and at the same time you notice the board stimulates your creativity. But even outside the park the D.O.A holds its own. On groomers carve you tight and controlled, and on side hits or natural features you get exactly the playfulness you’re looking for.

In terms of construction the D.O.A is full of tech you normally find in more expensive boards. The core is strong and light, so the board gives a lot of response without feeling heavy. The fiberglass and carbon layers add extra pop and stiffness, while the base is fast and durable. To me this snowboard always feels like the sweet spot between fun and performance.

Of course you should see the D.O.A for what it is: a versatile freestyle all mountain board. It’s not a pure freeride tank, so at extreme speeds and on big mountain lines it can feel a bit unsettled compared to the Super D.O.A. But that’s also the beauty of this board: it’s accessible, playful, and suitable for a wide range of snowboarders.

What I personally find the strongest point of the Capita D.O.A is that you discover new things with it every season. The board never feels boring and keeps challenging you, whether you’ve been riding for years or are just making your first park runs.

In short: the Capita Defenders Of Awesome is the ultimate choice for riders who want one board that can really do it all.

Base QUANTUM DRIVE™ BASE

The QUANTUM DRIVE™ running base is composed of a progressive blend of compressed ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. As an evolution of the already lightning-fast ULTRADRIVE™, this running base has a higher density for durability and absorbs more wax to retain it longer and enable faster riding.

RESORT V1 Profile boards make optimal use of the advantages of traditional camber, zero camber and reverse camber. With this next-generation design you get the pop and response of a board with camber, but also the predictability and easy turn initiation of zero camber or reverse camber shapes.
