Everything about the Burton Mystery Deep Thinker
Everything about the Burton Mystery Deep Thinker
This snowboard is ideal for experienced freeriders who want to shred both deep powder and steep groomers. Ultralight, responsive, and designed to push boundaries.

A combination of camber under both feet and a rockered nose provides stability in changing conditions and offers plenty of float in soft snow.

The Channel® Board Mount is compatible with all bindings and allows you to adjust your stance exactly how you want it.
Meet the Burton Deep Thinker
The Burton Mystery Deep Thinker is not just any snowboard, this is a masterpiece from Burton’s high-end line developed in collaboration with Danny Davis. The board is designed for riders who want to push their limits and seek a unique combination of ultra-lightweight, power, and versatility. For me, this board is one of the most impressive all-mountain and freeride boards I have ever ridden.
What immediately stands out is the mysterious construction that gives this board its name. By using Burton’s most advanced materials, the board feels incredibly light without sacrificing stiffness or responsiveness. This means you can react faster, have more control in technical lines, and lose less energy during long days on the mountain.
The directional shape makes the snowboard ideal for freeride. You immediately notice that the nose is longer than the tail, giving you much more float in deep powder. It feels almost like you are surfing over the snow. At the same time, the camber under your feet provides a solid edge-hold and explosive pop, which is especially effective on hard pistes and during fast carve turns.
What I love about the Mystery Deep Thinker is that it not only performs brilliantly off-piste but also offers all-mountain versatility. Whether you are cruising through the woods, attacking big open faces, or just shredding hard on the piste, this board feels at home everywhere. It’s not a board you need to get to know slowly; this is a plank that challenges you and rewards you when you ride confidently.
In terms of target audience, the Burton Mystery Deep Thinker is clearly intended for the advanced to expert rider. Beginners will struggle with the power and precision of this board, but for snowboarders who know what they are doing, it opens up a completely new dimension of riding.
In short, the Burton Mystery Deep Thinker is a snowboard that elevates freeride and all-mountain riding to a higher level. It combines an ultra-light feel with brute strength and control, ensuring that every descent becomes a unique experience. For me, this board is the choice for anyone who wants to get the most out of themselves and their gear in all conditions.
