Burton GORE-TEX Gloves: Technical Warmth and Stormproof Protection
The Burton Gore-Tex Gloves Jake Blue are a must-have for any snowboarder looking for reliability and performance. What I personally find great about them is that they combine everything you need on the mountain: warmth, waterproofing, and functionality. Thanks to the Gore-Tex membrane, your hands are always protected from snow and moisture, while the Dryride shell makes the glove breathable and durable. This means you never get that stuffy feeling, even after an intensive day of riding.
The Thermacore insulation is really a big plus for me. It keeps your hands warm, but without making the glove too thick or cumbersome. You still have a nice grip on your board or gear, and that’s exactly what you need for quick adjustments or when you need to tighten your bindings.
Another detail that I am very happy with is the Screen Grab® technology. This means you can operate your phone without taking off your gloves. Super handy if you want to take a photo at the top or quickly send a message. It’s such a small addition, but it really makes a world of difference in practice.
In terms of fit, you immediately notice that Burton has paid attention to this. The ergonomic shape follows the natural position of your hand and wrist, making the gloves very comfortable and giving you a lot of freedom of movement. The adjustable cuff ensures that you can close them perfectly, preventing snow from creeping in.
