Burton AK Dispatcher 25L True Black is, in my opinion, the ultimate mid-sized backpack for snow touring, piste riding, and alpine trips. As a snowboard specialist, I find the balance between weight and functionality excellent: you hardly notice it, but your gear is safe and organized. The exterior is made from Cordura® nylon with a PU coating and water-repellent DWR finishing, ensuring that rain and snow don't stand a chance.
The layout is particularly clever: a fleece-lined top pocket for goggles or phone, a separate compartment for shovel and probe, a mesh interior pocket with key clip, and a hydration sleeve with hose pass-through in the shoulder strap. This way, you have all your backcountry essentials quickly at hand.
In terms of comfort: the hip belt is well-equipped with pockets for snacks or phone and effectively transfers the weight to your hips. The shoulder straps are lightly contoured, allowing you to tour effortlessly with a full load.
