All about the Bataleon Surfer
All about the Bataleon Surfer
Since its launch the Surfer has drawn attention and continues to set the standard for progressive 3D shapes, with its wide, hull-like nose that generates unparalleled lift and combines an aggressive lateral cut with an extreme swallowtail for maximum edge grip.

The heart of every Bataleon is a combination of 3BT™ and positive camber. It is an innovative solution to the profile puzzle that minimizes the chance of edge catch without sacrificing ollie power or carve performance. From this starting point we refine each element based on the desired riding style of the board.

The SideKick from Bataleon is a technology designed to initiate quick turns for a responsive and dynamic riding experience.
Meet the Bataleon Surfer
The Bataleon Surfer is the choice for snowboarders who love nothing more than carving deep powder lines with style and control. This board is designed to deliver the ultimate surf experience on snow. The wide nose, swallowtail and unique Powder Hull ensure you stay effortlessly afloat, even in the deepest snow. Every turn feels smooth and natural, as if you are gliding over waves instead of cutting through powder.
The Surfer features a directional shape with an advanced 3D profile that turns like no other board. The raised sidebases at the nose and tail make every transition smooth and forgiving while maintaining stability and precision. This gives you not only control at high speed, but also ultimate confidence in technical sections and when initiating and exiting turns.
Inside you’ll find an ultra-light wood core that balances strength and flex perfectly. Carbon reinforcements and hollow tubes provide extra pop and stability exactly where you need it. The board is also equipped with a super-fast sintered base, so you can build speed effortlessly, even on flat sections or in wet snow.
With a medium-soft flex the Surfer is perfectly tuned for freeriders who want to ride fluidly and creatively. Whether you’re cruising relaxed through the trees or attacking a steep face, this board always feels reliable and playful. Vibration damping and reinforced sidewalls add extra comfort and durability.
Why you need the Bataleon Surfer:
- Exceptional float in deep powder thanks to the Powder Hull and swallowtail
- Smooth, forgiving and stable due to advanced 3D shaping
- Light, responsive and fast – ready for any freeride adventure

Technical Specifications
Bataleon Snowboards offers cutting-edge snowboard designs and technologies, including the revolutionary 3D shaping system, for an unparalleled riding experience on the mountains. With a strong focus on precision, performance, and quality, Bataleon Snowboards is a leading brand that provides snowboarders of all levels with the tools to push their limits and dominate the mountain.
Super-fast base with unprecedented wax absorption
Extra light core with a 70/30 Paulownia and poplar mix that provides great strength relative to its weight.
Dual Radial Super Tubes, similar to DST but with four additional Super Tubes (six in total) that run parallel to the board's radius and provide extra power to the edges.
Triple fiberglass weave is light, strong and insanely responsive. We use this to reinforce the flex of the more aggressive boards.
Camber profiles are defined from low to high. A higher camber results in more dynamic boards that need to be ridden more aggressively for maximum performance. Boards with a lower camber are softer at lower speeds and in powder. All camber profiles run from nose to tail. Higher is not always better...
A directional shape provides improved performance and stability when riding in one direction, especially for freeriding and in powder snow.
