Meet the Bataleon Placebo
The Bataleon Placebo 2027 is built for riders who want to combine aggressive freestyle performance with maximum control and stability. This board is not a playful beginner board, but a powerful Directional Twin made for speed, precision and technical progression in the park as well as on groomers.
With its medium to stiff flex the Placebo feels direct and responsive under your feet. Every movement is transmitted tightly, giving you perfect control during fast take-offs, landings and hard launches. The construction with a lightweight wood core and carbon reinforcements provides explosive pop and a lively board that returns energy on every ollie or carve.
The medium Camber along the entire length gives you reliable edge hold and lots of stability, especially when you ride faster or hit big features. This makes the Placebo ideal for advanced riders who want to take their riding to the next level and don’t want to compromise between power and finesse.
What makes the Bataleon Placebo unique is the combination of freestyle DNA with all-mountain potential. It feels at home in the park on jumps and rails, but also gives you the stability to ride high speeds and tackle technical terrain. The directional twin shape ensures you ride strong and controlled both regular and switch.
The durable construction with impact reinforcement and fast sintered base makes this board ready for intensive use. Whether you’re in the park every day or riding all-mountain lines with a freestyle approach, the Placebo keeps performing consistently.
The Bataleon Placebo is therefore not a playful compromise, but a serious freestyle performance machine. For riders who seek speed, precision and progression and want a board that won’t hold them back but instead pushes them to get better.

A premium, 7000-grade sintered base, reserved for our high-end models. By putting more molecules into the P-tex, it's super strong and can go in any direction.
This lightweight core has an 80/20 mix of Paulownia and poplar wood for the ultimate featherlight response.
Extra fiberglass reinforcement around the inserts (under the bindings) provides additional strength and helps reduce breakage of the board outside the bindings.
Triple fiberglass weave is light, strong and insanely responsive. We use this to reinforce the flex of the more aggressive boards.
Camber profiles are defined from low to high. A higher camber results in more dynamic boards that need to be ridden more aggressively for maximum performance. Boards with a lower camber are more forgiving at lower speeds and in powder. All camber profiles run from nose to tail. Higher is not always better...
