Anon Ski Goggles Lenses Equipped with Integral Clarity Technology

Nothing is more frustrating than looking out the window in the morning to see a thick layer of fog. It seems like another day of struggling with poor visibility. Anon has found a solution to this and equipped their lenses with ICT – an anti-fog system that keeps the lens crystal clear throughout the day. The inner lens has microscopic pores etched with ICT. This allows moisture to be evacuated quickly and more efficiently than many competitors can achieve. Additionally, it has a self-cleaning effect, meaning you never have to clean the inside of the lens. Besides ICT, the outer lens is coated with an oleophobic coating. Just like mobile phones, Anon's lenses have a layer that resists oily fingerprints. This layer does not last forever. Therefore, it is important to clean the ski goggles only with the provided microfiber bag.

Anon Replaces Sonar with Perceive Lenses

For the 20/21 season, Anon Optics replaced Sonar lenses with PERCEIVE lenses. Exclusively developed for Anon, PERCEIVE enhances depth perception and contrast for the best possible definition while maintaining true colors. This allows you to see and better navigate uneven terrain on the slopes, giving you more confidence to snowboard or ski. To make something good even better, all Anon goggles come with a bonus lens, so you can enjoy the slopes in any weather condition.

Anon PERCEIVE Lens Tints

Anon offers a wide range of lens tints with different light transmissions covering all lighting conditions. The degree of light transmission is indicated by a VLT percentage. In short: The higher the percentage, the more light the lens lets through. Below are all the new lenses found in Anon ski goggles.

Lenses for Sunny Conditions. Category 3

These are the darkest tints and have the lowest VLTs. The best lenses for Blue-bird days. 

• Onyx PERCEIVE Sunny (VLT: 6%)
• Red PERCEIVE Sunny (VLT: 14%)
• Bronze PERCEIVE Sunny (VLT: 17%)

Variable Lens Tints. Category 2  Great lenses because they are versatile enough to provide good visibility on the slopes in most weather conditions

• Blue PERCEIVE Variable (VLT: 21%)
• Green PERCEIVE Variable (VLT: 22%)
• Violet PERCEIVE Variable (VLT: 34%)

Cloudy Lens Tints: Category 1

The most ideal lenses for days with minimal visibility.

• Burst PERCEIVE Cloudy (VLT: 53%)

• Night PERCEIVE Cloudy (VLT: 72%)

 MFI Integration

In recent years, Anon has offered the ability to quickly attach facemasks to your Anon goggles through MFI, which stands for Magnetic Facemask Integration. Four strong magnets are located both on the frame of the ski goggles and on the MFI Facemask. With a simple motion, you can quickly click the mask on or off. This creates a perfect fit without any gaps where cutting wind can still pass through. 

Anon Magna-Tech Quick Lens Change System

Over 8 years ago, Anon was the first to introduce a revolutionary system for rapidly changing the lens of ski goggles. Multiple small but strong magnets in the frame keep the lens tightly secured. You don't have to worry about losing the lens while skiing or snowboarding. Where you previously struggled for a long time to change your lens when the weather suddenly changed, now you're done in a few seconds. Experience shows that you change lenses faster, so you always have more and better visibility.

Cylindrical, Spherical, or Toric Lens in Anon Goggles

Besides the different lens tints, Anon offers three different shapes of lenses. The “flat” lens, also known as a cylindrical lens, and the “curved” lens, also known as a spherical lens. But which one should you choose? To make it even more complicated, Anon has also developed a Toric lens.

Cylindrical Anon Lenses

A cylindrical lens construction means that the lens is curved on the horizontal plane and flat on the vertical plane. This gives a sleek aesthetic. The lens tapers slightly towards a thinner profile at the edges to avoid distorted vision. 

Spherical Anon Lenses

A spherical lens construction means that the lens is evenly curved both horizontally and vertically to mimic the curvature of the eye. Spherical lenses help reduce eye fatigue and maximize optical clarity. 

Toric Anon Lenses

A Toric lens construction has a unique shape that bends both horizontally and vertically, but the vertical bending is flatter than the horizontal. This shape mimics the curvature of the eye for superior optics and simultaneously offers an expanded field of view.
