Snowboard boot insoles

Custom snowboard insoles

We already know that snowboarding is awesome. Still, there is a large group of people who suffer from cold and sore feet every day while snowboarding. Winter sports place high demands on your body and you quickly get burning feet, cramps, or cold toes. Good insoles support the arch and reduce pressure on your heel. This distributes the pressure more evenly across the foot.

Prevent fatigue and nerve-compressing problems

While snowboarding you do not roll your foot forward. Pressure alternates mainly between the heel and the forefoot. This movement is not made in daily life and can lead to nerve-compression problems. This causes tingling feet. It also reduces blood circulation, which can additionally cause cold feet.

Prevent pressure points from overpronation with snowboard insoles

In addition to preventing pinched nerves, snowboard insoles also prevent overpronation of the foot. When you bend your knees, your feet often tilt inward. In addition, a large group of people (to varying degrees) have fallen arches. These feet will sink even more during snowboarding. Pressure points can then form on the inside of the foot as it presses against the inside of the boot. You can also get a sore little toe because the foot rotates slightly. Good snowboard insoles support the foot so that overpronation is counteracted.

The right arch support for a high instep

If you have a high instep you will notice that you also have a lot of space under the foot. Due to the pressure that occurs while snowboarding the foot will sink. The foot therefore becomes slightly longer and slightly wider. To prevent the foot from collapsing, the arch needs to be filled. Most standard insoles that are in snowboard boots have no supportive function. Why not? Very simple. Every foot is different and requires a different insole. Someone with a collapsed foot (flat foot) cannot stand on an insole with a high arch. Conversely, someone with a high instep (large space under the foot) gains no support from a flat snowboard insole.

Sidas snowboard insoles for skiing or snowboarding

There are many different brands of insoles for a snowboard on the market. The market leader in this field is Sidas. A good insole is, for example, the winter version 3Feet by Sidas. The insoles are available in 3 variants: Low, Medium and High. In addition, this winter version is provided with aluminum insulation under the forefoot for extra insulation.
