A snowboard leash is a piece of equipment that keeps your snowboard attached to your leg at all times. Snowboard leashes come in a wide variety of sizes, colors and shapes, but they are all designed with the same purpose in mind: to prevent your snowboard from racing down the mountain without you on it! You can easily lose your snowboard in deep powder, in a tree well, or when you step out of a gondola at the top of the mountain. Once the board starts sliding there's no stopping it. Chasing after it is pointless. Besides losing sight of your snowboard, it is also very dangerous. When a runaway snowboard hits someone it can cause serious injuries.
