What immediately stands out about the Mega Mercury is the stable and responsive feel. Thanks to the hybrid camber profile you get the best of both worlds: grip and precision when you pick up speed, combined with enough playfulness to smoothly handle freestyle elements. On jumps or sidehits the board delivers an impressive amount of pop, making every take-off feel explosive. That gives the board an energetic character that advanced riders in particular will greatly appreciate.
Capita has also used high-quality materials that you normally only see in the most premium models. The lightweight core construction makes the board feel surprisingly light underfoot, while carbon reinforcements add extra responsiveness and stability. The HyperDrive-base also contributes greatly to the performance. This base is extremely fast and holds speed excellently, both on flat sections and during fast descents. Capita snowboards are handcrafted in Austria using self-generated clean energy in The MotherShip™.
With the aim of outfitting our MEGA line with the most advanced and premium components, the brand-new MEGADRIVE™ base is as fast as science can make it. This pure race base is made of UHMW polyethylene, modified with a high carbon content and special fluoro additives for lightning-fast gliding in a variety of conditions. We have increased the thickness of our XT bases for improved durability.
By using an advanced electronic sorting system we can select mega-premium, replanting-certified Poplar, graded by weight and consistency of the wood. This core has a similar weight-to-strength ratio as Paulownia and retains the liveliness of Poplar. By adding design-bonded recycled thermopolymer channels, an advanced hybrid core is created. This mega-premium core gives you explosive power that launches you into the air and beyond.

This revolutionary all-terrain shape offers the best of both worlds. It features a raised camber platform through the inserts to retain high-speed edge grip on variable terrain, raised contact points to land and float in powder and Flat kick tip and tail arcs for quicker, more aggressive transitions.
A directional shape provides improved performance and stability when riding in a single direction, especially for freeriding and in powder.
